Dear Readers,

As we continue in our reading this week (week 6) you'll find yourself deep in the middle of Jesus' final prayer. My prayer for you is that this reading will continue to help you grow to know the love of God in new ways.

This week you'll be reading John chapters 16 and 17. In these chapters you'll find:

• The final things Jesus wants to say to his disciples – you'll see the disciples are still fairly confused.
• A description of the Advocate who will guide them in the truth after Jesus is no longer physically with them.
• Jesus' High Priestly Prayer, this is chapter 17. it is a prayer Jesus prayed to his own father.

This week's devotions will help you to ponder what it means for Jesus to live among us and to die for us. Read carefully, ask yourself the questions, pray. This is preparing you to enter into Holy Week and then the glorious Easter celebration in a new way. Your faith will be strengthened.
