I moved to Roseville as a young woman, just 30 years old. Now three decades later I am entering a new phase of life – semi retirement. Over those intervening years I have been involved at RLC in big ways and small ways. But through all of those experiences I have been surrounded by people who extended friendship to me and together we accomplished significant things, and had fun doing it. I remember one particular time when I was leading the team putting on the Women’s Winter Tea event. A few hours before tea time, we blew multiple circuits in the church attempting to heat water for the tea! We jumped into action and a few hours later we were serving hot tea – no one knowing the ordeal, and we laughed when it was all over!

My current RLC involvement is with our Mission & Outreach ministry, specifically to take steps to focus and build stronger partnerships with the organizations we support. RLC members committed 6% of our budget this year to support Mission and Outreach giving. The M & O committee and associated project team’s objective is to be sure we use those dollars wisely and to increase our impact beyond that 6% through volunteer hours and additional individual giving through donations. 

Being involved with the ministry of RLC has been a significant part of my life these past thirty years. I plan to continue to stay involved, because I know the difference it can make in the lives of people – within the walls of Roseville Lutheran and beyond.
