And who is my neighbor? Jesus would tell us that all those in need are our neighbors, as he explains in Luke 10 with the Good Samaritan story.

The truth is that in the kingdom of God all people are our neighbors, and as we continue our church mission to Love God and Love our Neighbor in 2020, we highlight a team within our Care Ministry today.

As you hear the stories of those who have been touched by being recipients of care and those who have been changed by being a care team member, prayerfully consider if God may be calling you in 2020 to be a part of this ministry. This could mean that you may need someone to help you do your laundry or shovel your driveway. It could be that having someone grocery shop with or for you might be helpful.

Perhaps you need a ride now and again to a doctor’s appointment or just someone to come in and visit with you once in a while. It’s hard to ask for help, but as the church, helping our neighbor is one of the greatest honors we have.
