The Mission & Outreach Committee and the entire congregation of Roseville Lutheran Church were recently recognized by MORE, an organization helping refugees and immigrants with education and support, with a special award.

MORE presented Karen and Dave Dudley, of Roseville Lutheran Church, and the M&O Committee with the 2016 Compassion in Action Award, the very first time they've awarded the honor.

Over the past three years, RLC has provided volunteers and school supplies for MORE classrooms, supported the December Gift Giveaway, worked with a group of quilters whose works were distributed through MORE's Basic Needs services and donated $8,000 through general offerings. 

In their announcement of the award, MORE said RLC is a "special community partner that has gone above and beyond in supporting MORE's mission and work."

"Serving their community means answering the call to care for those who are hungry, who need clothing or shelter, or who are sick, whether they live next door or far away."
