2 Corinthians, 9:7 “Each one must give as he has decided in this heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.”

If you worship at Roseville Lutheran, you may have noticed during Sunday morning worship that there are a growing number of young children bringing their gifts to the altar during the morning offering. What better definition of a ‘cheerful giver’ than the joyfulness of our kids!They may not be able to count the amount of money in their hand, but the expression on their faces and the confidence in their stride demonstrates the great pride they have in delivering these gifts. 

Offering also serves as a great time to be able to move those energetic bodies as they come bounding down the isles to bring their donation! As parents we look for ways to instill the act of giving as one of the key components of their budding faith in the Lord. Through this engaging act of worship, we can start to explain that God has given us unconditional love, therefore we should give our gifts to be good stewards of God’s grace.  

As parents of young children at RLC, we invite you to join in the joyful gift giving too - feel free to send them up front and make sure to wave so they know where to return to their seats! As a parent, you can’t help but smile!
