RLC is partnering again with Prince of Peace Lutheran to provide meals for elementary students at Central Park Elementary through The Sheridan Story, an organization that provides weekend meals to students in need by placing grocery items in their backpacks on Fridays throughout the school year. 

We need volunteers to distribute the food one Friday per month.  You would most likely need to commit to only 2 or 3 Fridays during the whole school year.  It takes about 1 to 1 ½ hours to volunteer.  We are also in need of financial support, as each meal costs about $3.71 or about $130 per year, per student. The meals include things like rice, beans and tuna that can feed several family members over the weekend.  Prince of Peace provides most of the financial support, but we would love for RLC to become a true partner in this worthy cause.
