We are delighted to welcome Audrey Dontje Lindell as our new Director of Youth Ministry at RLC. Below is a little bit about her, written by Audrey herself.

I was first introduced to Roseville Lutheran’s beautiful sanctuary and building by two youth who have been actively involved in our youth ministry programs. As they showed me around the church, they shared funny stories and good memories from their time growing up as members of Roseville Lutheran’s community. Both of them agreed that the reason they have been so committed to Roseville Lutheran is that they have found a home and a family. Here is a place where they are loved and could share that love with others. 

Afterwards, I remembered when I had been one of the teenagers showing a new youth director around my home church in St. Peter, Minnesota. I still call First Lutheran home, but since then I’ve found that experience of love in other places, too. I attended Luther College and graduated in 2016 with a degree in Religion and French. I discovered my passion for youth ministry and grew as a leader working at two different churches and two different Bible camps, most recently Camp Amnicon. And I found out about the amazing ministry happening at Roseville Lutheran this past year as I was taking classes at Luther Seminary in St. Paul. 

What a joy to be joining the ministry here as Director of Youth Ministry. Already I have felt the warm welcome and energy at Roseville Lutheran that these two youth shared with me from the beginning. And I’m looking forward to getting to know more of the community! This fall specifically, I’d like to extend an invitation to anyone who’d like to grab a coffee or drop into my office to chat and get to know each other. My door is always open!
